A fund created to empower underrepresented minorities in the wine industry by providing resources and financial support through educational scholarships, wine education, mentorship and job placement. Roots Fund is committed to investing into the Black wine community to provide opportunities to those seeking a career in all aspects of wine.
Founded by Carlton McCoy Master Sommelier, Tahiirah Habibi Founder of Hue Society, and Ikimi Dubose Hospitality Director in 2020. This fund was brought about to address the lack of diversity in the wine community. Partnering with oenology programs of the traditional, and non-traditional pathways in the wine world.
